No ice cream sandwich is as sweet as a long-delayed sunset kiss. Friday night’s first phone call was the answer to Teresa Scott’s career dreams. This was an enjoyable novella about second chances .
I loved the characters, the storyline and the setting.
Tucson is another go to city of mine and I have been around the Tohono O' Odham for many years.
Thanks for the great trip back to Tucson.
Seguaro Sunset is a delightful easy read with a creative setting and endearing, realistic characters. I enjoyed the interaction between the main characters, Teresa and Alan, and the secondary characters were engaging and fun. The epigraphs featuring ice cream flavors at the beginning of each chapter were a fun and clever touch. This is the first book I have read by this author, but I'm looking forward to reading more.
Such a heartwarming story with fun twists and turns. Easy, enjoyable reading with characters you will love. The story line of an ice cream business is different and fresh, and Author Debra Marvin makes it even more fun by putting a unique type of ice cream at the beginning of each chapter. Some I’m sure I need to try!

If you enjoy a light romance with real characters, you will love Saguaro Sunset.

I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to leave a review.
Saguaro Sunset is a sweet romance about Teresa who turns down her dream job to care of her sister and niece. Alan had a crush on Teresa as a teenager and has turned into a caring, helpful, handsome man. They meet again when Teresa runs the ice cream truck for her sister. I enjoyed this story set in Arizona and recommend it to others who enjoy contemporary fiction. I received my e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.
I can count on finding a good novella when it's written by Debra Marvin. I've read three of hers so far, and have enjoyed each one. Usually, I'm a novel kind of gal, but I enjoy novella's for a break - and Debra writes some good ones. )
This was her first contemporary, and she handled it fantastically in my opinion!
The setting was unique - I don't think I've ever read a book where the character runs (or in this case, helps run) an ice cream food truck! I found that a great setting - one to stand out. And the characters were each well-constructed and you got to know them even in a 'short' amount of time of a novella.
I enjoyed the splash of faith too.
There was one scene towards the end that was a bit more...passionate (just kissing) than I usually read, but otherwise, I didn't skim any of the book - it was a good, sweet read, one I enjoyed. )

My thoughts on Debra E. Marvin

Debra Marvin is such a sweet lady who has dozens and dozens of stories to tell. She is humble, down to earth and creative. She has a outgoing personality and takes time to talk to all of her fans when they message her with encouragement or questions. I look forward to seeing more from Debra E Marvin and can't wait to read more stories.

My thoughts on Saguaro Sunset

When I saw the cover of this book, I just knew that I wanted to read this. The cover is gorgeous. I used to live in Arizona and I have to admit that the desert can have an unspoken beauty about it especially when the sunsets.

I love how creative Debra was in giving Teresa and her sister a unique job in running an ice cream truck. I have always thought it was fun to run an ice cream shop because it is my all time favorite dessert. I mean to make up funky flavors and just to see the happiness of the children, parents and families that would come in just to order some goodies.

My heart kinda broke when Teresa had to give up her original job but I loved when she decided to make the most of it and to help her sister out. I would do that for my sister. I know in today's world not too many people look at it as a way to serve their family, to show people love.
This novella had interesting characters from the beginning. The combination of ice cream trucks and national parks was intriguing to me, and I would've enjoyed it as a full-length novel too. The conflict and resolution in the story were a bit too quick and simple for me, but I suppose that that's the nature of novellas. My only other issue is the amount of grammatical errors. I normally don't fault an author for less than perfect editing, but Saguaro Sunset had enough punctuation errors that I sometimes had to reread paragraphs to keep track of who was talking. Even then, I really liked the story, and I enjoyed the realistic emotions portrayed by Teresa and Alan. It wasn't just "boy meets girl, they fall in love, the end." Now I can't wait to read more in this series!
